Lexus Dealers Top the Luxury Market in DealerRater’s Consumer Rating Index
If you read our blog post on the subject from February, you already know that JM Lexus earned a 2015 DealerRater Dealer of the Year award for having the most-satisfied customers of any U.S. Lexus dealership. Now, we can truly say that we’re the best of the best, as Lexus stores have topped all other luxury dealerships in DealerRater’s Consumer Rating Index (CRI).
The 2015 CRI factored in almost 416,000 verified DealerRater reviews, averaging the scores of each brand’s U.S. dealerships during the 12-month period ending March 31, 2015. Submitted by customers who purchased a vehicle or sought service at a new-car dealership, the reviews on DealerRater.com report on customer service, friendliness, pricing, quality of work and overall experience. Emerging as the No. 1 luxury brand for the second straight year, Lexus outperformed runners-up Mercedes-Benz and Porsche with an impressive review score of 4.82 out of 5.
More and more car shoppers are turning to online research before they head to a dealership, and DealerRater CEO Gary Tucker recently spoke to the role that reviews play in that process.
“Consumers are adding online reviews as a critical element to the car-shopping equation,” explained Tucker. “The Consumer Rating Index allows car shoppers to evaluate how brands stack up against each other in terms of customer satisfaction at the dealership-level.”
