If you’re a comic-book fan, a gamer or a movie buff, it’s likely you’re familiar with Comic-Con International: San Diego, which held its big 2014 gathering late last month. To boost the excitement surrounding this year’s event, Lexus teamed with Marvel to sponsor a new digital comic for “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” On the cover and inside, the highly capable Lexus GX is featured as the agency’s SUV of choice for pursuing villains on rugged terrain.

Titled “The Chase 2014 #1,” the new “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” issue takes place between Season 1 episodes of the ABC TV show of the same name, and it can be viewed at www.marvel.com/lexus. Print versions were available at Comic-Con, and they can now be found at local comic-book stores.

Beyond offering 301 horsepower and 329 pound-feet of torque through its 4.6-liter V8 engine, the Lexus GX is packed with sophisticated technology suited for an advanced law-enforcement agency like S.H.I.E.L.D. The optional Lexus Enform infotainment system enables voice control of popular mobile apps like Pandora Internet radio, Bing search and OpenTable reservations, while the available Destination Assist feature lets drivers connect to a live response-center agent for 24-hour navigation directions without using a cellphone. For the 2015 model year, the Lexus GX will come standard with Siri Eyes Free Mode, which allows iPhone users to command Siri to initiate hands-free phone calls, select music from iTunes and retrieve turn-by-turn directions through Apple Maps.

All told, the Lexus GX certainly seems like a secret agent’s best friend, but normal civilians can appreciate its larger-than-life versatility as well. Visit our Lexus dealership in Margate, FL,┬átoday and take one for a spin!
